More from Spain and a hip hotel in Meloneras

Here is som more photos from the elegant hotel Lopesan Baobab resort and spa in Meloneras in Gran Canaria in Spain.

This is one of the elegant and hip, designed chairs that you could find in the hotel.

And as I wrote about last time the hotel have an african theme, this is one of the bars.

It is also a lot of green plants and lush gardens everywhere.

My new blog

I have just started up a blog in Swedish, all about my travel and old and new trips around the world and home. Hope you will check it out, even if it is in my native language.

I just can't help myself...

I know, the spring is here. So I should be happy that is getting warmer, but I still miss my beautiful Thailand!

So here are some reminders from my last trip there, this time we flew to Krabi and Ao Nang and Klong Muang beach.

Relax in Klong Muang

Just arrived home from a vacay in Thailand again, this time in the Krabi area, in Klong Muang just outside Ao Nang.

I just Love Thailand! Always good restaurants where ever you go. Here one just at the beach in Klong Muang.

Beeing there for a holiday with a friend made me relax completely, after two week I feel like a new person, swimming, eating good food and just taking in the sun and the warm weather.

The sunsets are amazing too, this one is from the hotel Sofitel Krabi.

Here is a view of the very grand and big hotel, in colonial style.

An example of what you can eat in a resturant close to the hotel, called the Beach Hose Restaurant.

And the beaches in the area was not really crowded, hardly anyone was there.

Hot in Turkey

It has been a year filled with a lot of travel for me. Just came back from Turkey, have been in Avsallar in Turkey, at Sunprime Numa Beach Hotel.

And it was really hot! About 38 degrees (C) or more every day, in the shadow.

The sea was lovely, the hotel had a small beach where you could stay.

The hotel also had a big pool and it was close to the sea.

I have had a long summer. Just spent a week in Turkey. Here a pic from inside the hotel.

I also had a nice buffet at breakfast every day, with fresh fruits like these.

And here you can se the chef that prepared the breakfast, eggs and omelettes and a lot of other good stuff.

African shopping in Sal

Every morning the fishermen came back from their trips and you could buy fresh fish at the pier of Santa Maria.

And here is what you could find in the restaurants later in the afternoon, looks really good!

It was not really a lot that you could buy there in Sal, one of the Africans islands in the country of Cape Verde.

And the things you found in the shops was a little odd, and big!

Another street in Santa Maria and another shop with turisty things.

Bracelets and stuff like that where very popular, and could easy be find on most of the streets.

Sal, an African island in the sun

Just came home from a vacation from Sal in Cape Verde just outside the west coast of Africa.

Sal is one of the many island of Cape Verde, with a lot of sun and a lot of strong winds. But also besutiful beaches.

I stayed at the Salinas Sea Hotel outside the small town of Santa Maria. A modern hotel just a few years old.

Here is the lobby, of the hotel. Always full of turists, coming or going.

And one pic of the pool with a swim up bar. We where also very close to the sea.

As you can see here, the hotel bar and resturant in front of the sea.

One more pic of that bar, taken from the sea side. A really nice place to relax at, with samba music and a drink.

Here is the hotel beach, with the blue sea. A little too cold for me thu.

You could also sleep and relax in these, or just read a book.

I used these every morning, just outside the hotel, it is really good to stay in shape in the vacation too.

Then you have to eat, I had an all inclusive package on my trip. Here are the desserts one day.

The tiny village of Las Playitas

Just close to the resort of Las Playitas you can find a little fishing villiage with the same name, Las Playitas.

Here, in the withe washed villiage the time stays still, not much happens here and thankfully not much tourists is coming here either.

One of the resturants in Las Playitas, just by the sea. It is La Rampa and here I ate one evening, really good food too.

But it is really beautiful and ha an amazing view over the sea.

Training at Las Playitas

Have been in Spain, in the Canary Island of Fuerteventura. I stayed at the training and sport resort of Las Playitas, just close to the old fishing village of Las Playitas.

Here in one photo of the resort, from a hill. You can see one part of the resort - the hotel part - in the left of the picture, the old town on the left.

This photo show you the apart hotel where I stayed, and the lovely pool. The resort had many moore pools.

I had my own kitchen. So I made my own breakfast, like in the pic, lunch and dinner and ate it all on my balcony, with a sea view.

In the morning, at 8 you started the day with a sun salutation. While we watched the sun rise. Here you can se a part of the out door gym.

During the day you had all sorts of training, here is a session with zumba, always outdoor and of course included in the prize.

Shopping in Bulgaria

What can you buy when in Bulgaria, or in the turist town of Sunny Beach. Some of it I can show you here, the rest you have to go there to experience...

You can find these hand painted plates in ceramic, some rather nice, others not really my style. But good craftmanship anyhow.

Then yoy have this plastic bags for little girls, a lot of different ones but almost all in pink.

You can also find really good priced bras and other underwear, ok quality too.

But I did not like the fashion style in Sunny Beach or like this shop in Nessebar. They looked like some leftovers in my eyes...

You could also find a lot of handicraft like these laces.

And of course there was a lot of turist shops everywhere.

And for the kids you could goo for these pastic shoes....
