The beauty of Swedish summer

More photos from my lovely Sweden here. You tend to forget how beautiful your own country is sometimes, especially when you travel  a lot. So here you are.

First some yellow fields just ouside my house.

Here we have some cherries in a tree, first time we had these many, did a nice jam.

Then this, with the city of Uppsala just 25 minutes away.

Just not the nature this time, but also two sweet horses.

Animals in the green

Sumer here in Sweden now. And this time I show you some lovely animals in the green, cats and horses.

First out is my cat Kisse walking with me a sunny summer day in the country.

Then we we have a pic of a black stray cat that also likes to come with me on my walks.

Here is a horse in the grass, not ours but here with us this summer.

But this sweet horse belongs to my brother. So happy to be out in the green grass...

The Gilli islands

During my recent trip to Indonesia I also visited the Gilli islands, not just Bali. I stayed at the biggest of the three Gilli islands, just outside Bali and Lombok, Gilli Travangang.

It was some years ago just a place for backpacker tourist, young people from all over the world.

Today it is so much more, they have made it, for better and worse, to a place for all kind of turists.

I stayed at a four star hotel with an outside bathroom, Villa Ombak. As you can see in the pic here, but the shower had just salt water.

But one thing has not changed, there is no cars on the islands. Just horses, even for transports.

And here is a pic from the boat trip there, this is Gilli Air from the boat.

Horses in the snow

Just before this year is ower, here is some photos of two lovely horses in the snow. It is cold now again outside after a short rain.

Home now working and planning what to eat for the upcoming new years eve. And visiting the horses close by.

The horses likes to stay out even if it's cold. Can not understand that, but they carry fur...

Horses on a field

Out here in the country we have a lot of horses around, my brother and his daughter just have one, but as horses should not be alone we have some more with him.

This is the three of them on a field close to my home one evening. So love summer!!

And here you have the leader of the pack, she is the oldest of them and white - and very nice. Not ours thu.

Grass is good

Yes, fresh grass is very good - if you are a horse - then it is fantastic, after eating the dry stuff the whole winter.

You can se one beautiful horse here, in the sun, late one evening here in Sweden. Finally spring!

Out at last

Finally the horses can eat outside, it has been snowing again but the sun was strong a almost all of it melted away during the day.

Even my cat Kisse was happy to be outside with me, but he did not like to be close to the horse.

Gavel in wood

This is another of my mother's things that I really love, it is a gavel in wood. She made it from a branch of a tree here where she lived., all in one piece carved from the wood!

She made another one too, but that is used today by some lucky  chariman.
This one is formed after a horse head, with the ears and all. Isn't wounderful?

Summer & horses

Just a little reminder om how it was just some month ago, horses in the apple garden during summer. Green, lush and lovely. Now it is winter, no snow yet, but cold and all grey.

But the horses here are still here, one more of them too. Now they are 4 and they have to eat dry hay.
