Merry Christmas!

Hope you all have a very nice, calm Christmas and a happy new year. I am still here in Sweden and my home and just relaxing.

Have a small tree this year, but with lights and no ornaments. Hope you like it!?

In the window I always have huacints that brings the lovely perfume to my home.

And then a pic from two weeks ago, when we still had snow. It is raining today and very windy.

Christmas i Stockholm

Hope you all have a nice Christmas, today it is the second of Advent. And I give you som pics from Sweden and Stockholm.

Here you can se one of the most exclusive shoppingstreets in the morning, Biblioteksgatan in Stockholm.

Every year the big department store NK have a new Christmas display in the windows for the children, this is the one 2016.

Here we are in Sergels torg, just outside Kulturhuset and close to Åhléns, another big department store.

Autumn is here

After a varm and really long summer now is the time to say goodbye to the warmer days, because autumn is here in Sweden.

The sky is blue today but it is really windy. It is so wonderful to see all the different colors in the nature, here outside my home.

Leafs in red and yellow colors are all over my garden. As you well know by now, I live outside Uppsala, close to the airport of Stockholm, Arlanda.

I have been feeling badly for a long time and spent a lot of my days at home, but hopefully I am getting better and can resume a more normal life. And go travel the world again!

The beauty of Swedish summer

More photos from my lovely Sweden here. You tend to forget how beautiful your own country is sometimes, especially when you travel  a lot. So here you are.

First some yellow fields just ouside my house.

Here we have some cherries in a tree, first time we had these many, did a nice jam.

Then this, with the city of Uppsala just 25 minutes away.

Just not the nature this time, but also two sweet horses.

Best burger in town :)

I love to make my own hamburgers here in Sweden, they are east to make and taste really good. Add you don't have to start the outside grill.

The patties are made of the best meat and just salt and pepper, here I serve it with a pesto-mayo and tomatoes plus some rocket. I just use my my grill pan on the stove. Work almost as well rainy days.

Red house in the green

Just another photo from Sweden, during the summer of 2016. A red, old house in the green nature that surrounds it.

The house was my father and mothes old summerhouse when I was really small, we then called it Råttstugan, the rat house... Today it is under renovation, so no more rats here soon I hope.

And then some lovely flowers in my livingroom.

They are called Philadelphus virginalis in English, Schersmin in Swedish.

A green summer

As you know by now, summer is my favorite season of the year. All is green and my world out here in the countryside of Sweden is so beautiful.

A really green walk here, like in a tunnel of trees.

And this is another photo from Sweden, a red villa and red roses, just outside Uppsala.

Happy Midsummer!

It is Midsummer today in Sweden. So big party in the sun, or not:) It is actually raining here outside Uppsala just now in the morning.

But it will get better later on, so they say. Have a happy day, in Sweden or elsewhere!!

National Day today

Hope you all have a happy day today. We have our National Day today in Sweden, and we have a nice sunny day here outside Uppsala.

It is was also called Swedish Flag day. Here is our flag. Have a nice day, we will... :)

Signs of spring and summer

Finally! Now the winter has really gone away - it is spring or maybe could I say summer! It is warm and sunny outside and all different signs of warmer days has shown.

Here you have some lilacs from my garden, so lovely and what a perfume!

This is my apple tree garden, all flowery and lovely.

Have this colorful coffee table in my livingroom now, just between my sofas, do you like it as much as I do?

It is really fun and colorful. Made in wood, and with a glass top, by French artist Frederic Iriarte, now living here in Sweden. A bit of Pop Art, maybe?

In my garden almost every day

This is what I can see almost every day in my garden, they are not even that afraid either unless youopen the window. And this group of four are eating a lot of my beautiful plants.

This deers, or Roe dear as you call them, are really quite common in Sweden. It is not the best photo but it is not soo easy to take a photo from my window. One male andre three "ladys".

Healing at home

Just now I have to stay at home. I do not feel well for the moment and have to relax and cure myself at home.

It is still winter where I live, outside Uppsala. Hard to walk in the ice, slipped yesterday and it hurts really bad...

These are tulips I got today from my work mates!! Lovely when you are home and sick!

To be or not to be - winter...

Today it has been raining here in Sweden, at my home between Stockholm and Uppsala. Some day's it feels really like spring, but then the cold weather keep coming back.

Back and forth. This day, sunday, it was really cold with ice on our little pond. I dream of the real spring and summer!!!

Merry Christmas

Another year has passed and it is Christmas again! This is my "tree" this year :)

Summer in Uppsala

Even if this summer have been really rainy it is now sunny and varm outside. This particular day I was visiting nearby Uppsala.

It was not the best weather but Fyrisån is always beautiful. Even if it was raining.

Have a really happy new year 2015! I hope it will be a good year with hope, happiness and love.

I had a nice evening here in Sweden, and really good food, here is the starter a lobster soup.

And then there was tagliatelle with lobster creme sauce, as you can see down here.

For dessert a yummy chocolate mousse, home made with marinated fruit on the top.

At home - inside and outside

Just relaxing at home just now after a day at work. It is still very much Christmas at my home as you can see here. And my cat is on the sofa, as usual.

And outside it looks like this. Cold and a bit of snow. But at least it is sunny!

Love this tree, it just wont die! Even if we had to cut of the big branches as they were falling on my grass and it was just too dangerous.
