Love struggle

Now a piece of my late mother Gunvor's art again, a statue of two people in love, but it is called a Love struggle.

It is like a dance they do together, or what do you see?

Walking just now

Here are som photos from the last couple of days here in Sweden, its is really like summer even if it's autumn.

A walk in ths sun, on the fields, just before it is getting cooler outside.

Here is one field before the harvest. The one below is after.

My pizza oven

My wood burning pizza oven in the garden has been in use again this summer.  It really make the best pizzas, the one's made as "forno a legna".

It only take a minute to get the best home made pizzas ever!

Then I give you a photo of another, very old, garden - and it's not mine -  with these lovely old pillars made in stone on the back of the house.

More art by my mother

My dear, dear friend in Rome, Marta, gave me this photos of my late mother Gunvors work that she has hanging on her wall in Italy.

It is two pieces of art in textile. applications. One is mostly in red and blue colors.

The other one is in yellow and in blue. They are made to hang together on a wall.

Here is a pictures of both, looking good, and really nice to see! Grazie Marta!! "Sorella mia".

Street in Stockholm

This is one of the street I pass every day to go to work, Jakobsbergsgatan in Stockholm.

I'ts a hanging flower basket - one of many this summer here in Sweden.

And then another summer flower, a big yellow sunflower close to home.

A friend of mine wrote a book

One of my best friends wrote a book, not just her either, together with her husband. I just have to write about it, it is just soo exiting. It is kind of a childrens book, but ok for adults too.

The book is "Tommy Wilkins and the Black smiles", by Kristina Lonnquist and Stan Eales, as Christina & Stanley.

The story follows the struggles of twelve-year-old Tommy Wilkins as the fabric of his existence slowly unravels to reveal another reality underneath. Tommy has problems like most young people: an overbearing Dad and struggles as school. But he also has problems over and above his friends: 1. He has an overwhelming predilection for sweets. 2. His mother has disappeared mysteriously. 3. His Grandfather died mysteriously. 4. His Dad’s housekeeper, ‘The Dragon’ does not seem to be human!
The story also takes place in a parallel world, Candyland. This is a kind of ‘therapeutic heaven’ for children who have died in tragic circumstances.

Swedish summer

Just some photos from this summer here in Sweden, from my walks in the sun.

First two pictures is from an old barn, that now is in ruins.

Two barns that does not "work" no moore. But beautiful anyhow.

Then we have a field of cereal, to become grain later on, not ready to be harvested yet. But soon.

An to finish off, a bot in concrete with floers. Lovely!
