New York shopping

I did not buy much when I was in New York recently, just some books. But I can't help showing these photos of some of the things turits did buy.

First a photo from Empire State Building, facing south as you can see.

Then we have a lot of love from and for New York, in all sorts of forms.

Of course the was also a lot of other souvenirs to buy, like these ones.

With a photo of Flatiron Building in New York in a cold spring day I wish a happy weekend.

Just home from a trip to USA, with my job at Svensk Damtidning. These photos are from my walks in the city.

Here we are at Farmers Market in Union Square, flowers for sale.

Painting by Edvard Friström

Some years ago I bought this painting in a shop, without knowing anything about the artist. Now I know he is known as Clas Edvard Friström, or Edward Fristrom, born in Sweden 1864, but he moved abroad and became a famous painter in New Zealand.

He then moved again with his family, wife and their children, to the USA, where he died 1950, in California. My painting in watercolor is probably made in Sweden, it is a view of Kalmar Castle.
