My clan

As beeing part of a family yhat once originated from Scotland, I can not help to show you my Nisbeth, or Nesbitt clan, crest here.
You can se that further down - here is our family tartan.

Here is our crest - I Byd it.

This is our coat of arms, the original Scottish one Nisbet - With the boars.

In Sweden we have a slightly different coat of arms, with three bears on it, instead of boars. Somewhere someone heard wrong I suppose?

This text below is from wikipedia, translated by Google and edited by me.

The family descended from Berwick in Scotland, where it is known since the 1200s. Ancestor of the Swedish branch William Nisbeth of the house Rochelle (1596-1660) who in 1627 was added to Sweden, where he became Colonel of the regiment of Uppland. With his first wife Christina Greij he got his son Wilhelm Nisbeth (died 1695) who was a captain in Upplands infantry. He was married twice. First wife, Sophia Böllja was the sister of his stepmother, and their mother was a Månesköld of Seglinge. Second wife was Margaret Duwall. Wilhelm Nisbeth was naturalized as a Swedish nobleman in 1664 and was introduced at number 828 years in 1675, and wrote to Osmunstad and Olstad.

His eldest son Axel Nisbeth was regimental quartermaster, married to Brita Maria Storck Felt, whose mother was a Ulfsax. The eldest son Lieutenant Pehr Gustaf Nisbeth was married Skuten Mountains, and the main branch manna continued with their third son of Major Johan Axel Nisbeth, married to Gertrude Pfeiff whose mother was a Lillje Marck. By the testament of his wife's aunt went over the estate Tisslinge the dynasty Nisbeths main branch.

Tisslinge.

A younger branch, via Carl Magnus Nisbeth, passed in the 1700s in Polish and French service and this branch was based in Sweden. Another younger branch, originating from the former's brother Axel Nisbeth the ball came back to Sweden after the foreign service and was married to Anna Beata Bäfverfelt. Descendants of him was through marriage with Bratt of Höglunda mill owners in Värmland.

1778 transferred dynasty in the former knightly class.

Evening sun

Just a few days ago I got this beautiful sight of the afternoon sun, just before it got dark.

It is now much cooler outside, almost snow in the air, and not this sunny at all. It's just a nice memory - from Sweden.

Renovation project

Here you can see a house here in Sweden that is undergoing a renovation, the red parts with the old timber is from 1800-hundreds.

The old "faluröda" red colored timber was below the newer yellow panels that's from the beginning of the 1900-hundreds.

Now they are isolating the house, so the cold winters can be a little less cold.

A giant stone

In a forest near me you can see this gigantic stone. When I was a kid they told me that a Giant was throwing the stone, you can se some marks on one side too, like marks from a big hand with nails.

But now I know that is was ice, the Continental Glacier, that a long, a very long time ago made those marks on the big boulder.

Here you have it from another angle. You have another big stone there too.

And here is Sigtuna Rådhus, the Old City Hall. A very popular place in the summer, a lot of cafés and restaurants serve food outside.

Picking sloes

Today was a perfect autum day here in Sweden, I went for a walk and found these sloes, or Slånbär in Swedish. They are also called Prunus spinosa, and yes they they have very sharp spines. So you have to take care picking them.

Later I used them for making a liqueur, that will be ready for Christmas. I put them in a jar filled with Absolut vodka. It should have been Gin, but I prefer vodka. After at least 2-3 month i will take the berries out and add sugar.

Look here if you want to see the bushes of Prunus spinosa before the berries:

I love shoes, not necessary this ones in the picture. But they where interesting to look at. Most of them had really high heels, and that is not for me.

The shoe store in the pic is from the big shopping centre in Patong, Jungceylon. And there you can find a lot of shops, not only with shoes.

Here is another pic from Jungceylon, in Patong in Phuket, and that is in Thailand. Here it is a late evening, open until 10 at night.
Here is another enrty about shoe shopping in Thailand:
