Cat looking out

It is just to cold and dark to be outside these days, we are just waiting for the snow, not even the cat want to go out.

So I understand him, staying inside, and just looking out is better. So much better.

My latest two books

Today I got two of my latest books, as you can see in this picture. One is Dassboken, the other one Damtoan. Both filled with funny jokes and stories, collages of amusing drawings and fun facts.

Proud of my latest books, no exting novels but good fun to write. And here is the older ones:

Heaven made of fabric

This is another of my favorites by my mother Gunvor, a "painting" in fabric. It's a art piece of heaven and earth. Heaven made of cloth.

You could see a lot in it, depending of your faith. I love it, what do you think?

Buddha x 2

When in Thailand it's hard not to see Buddha statues, some bigger and more grand than others.

Here above is one from Bangkok - a truly beautiful one in gold.

And this one is beautiful too, even if it's a bit old, photo from a trip in Phuket and around.

Today at Östermalmshallen

This is today, at the food court with a lot of history, Östermalmshallen in Stockholm. Just in inte middle of the town, it is rather expensive to shop here, but they have magnificent food.

Here you can see the fish and seafood stand at one of the vendors.  Happy Thanksgioving!

In the morning

This is what I see early in the morning, when waiting for my commuter train to Stockholm.

I am at Knivsta station, looking at the village centre. Cold and dark. But rather beautiful.

African shopping and sunny beaches

Some more african shopping. Found out that you could buy a lot of stuff in carved wood, but also these baskets made of grass.

They come in every color but the shapes where almost always the same.

And here is another photo from Africa, this is from a sunny beach in The Gambia. The women here where also selling some stuff that they carried on their heads.

Napoli - in two photos

This lovely photo that I have on my wall is taken by Maurizio Recano, a famous photographer and a really good friend of mine. He is born in Napoli, Naples in southern Italy.

You can acutally spot him in the photo too, on the top of the stairs here.

And here is one more photo of the curch St:a Maria del Purgatorio. In Naples, Napoli, and from Maurizia Recano.

Father's Day today

Today, in Sweden, it's Father's Day. My dad Bertil has passed away some years ago, but I have him still in my memories.

To celebrate him I do that with this artwork by my mother Gunvor. She is no longer with us either, but the art she made is living on, like this magic cross.

Pond with ice

We have cold night's now here in Sweden, that make this little pond all icy, but the water is still running from the statue.

It's still beautiful to look at. But I still miss summer!

And here you have a rusty water barrel, almost hidden in the grass.

A foggy day

No sun today, it was instead a really foggy day. Could not see clearly but the landscape as always is beautiful.

Here you have a misty old park, almost a little scary, mystic and spooky. But I sure love it! Remember, yesterday was the All Saints day! Wrote about that here:
http://agnetanisbeth.blogspot.se/2012/11/remembering-dead.html

And here you have a piece of the foggy scenery that I saw under my sunday walk.

Remembering the dead

Yesterday it was the day to remember the dead, All Saints' day, here in Sweden. Everybody that has a dead family member, or friend, lights a candle at their graves.

I of course I went to the church cemetary and the family crypt where my parents are buried, my mother Gunvor the artist, and my father Bertil. And then the grave of my uncle Åke, the famous historian.

Here you can see the lights outside the family crypt, build 1770.

The church I am talking about is Östuna kyrka, close to Uppsala, it was built in the late 1400.

Like a painting

I put my old photo of some Thai flowers thru Photoshop, and it came out like this. Nice.

And here is another photo from Thailand, a hotel pool in Bankgok some years ago.

And as you can see it was on the roof, with a great view.
