A walk on the beach again?

During the winter here in Sweden many of us are dreaming of a sunny day at the beach. Like this here, when I was in Thailand last year.

But soon again I will be in the sun, in Asia. Dreaming of it every day now. The pictures here in from Kamala beach in Phuket.

An as you can see here in my photos it is not really crowded. Just a few persons on the beach.

Swedish summer

Just some photos from this summer here in Sweden, from my walks in the sun.

First two pictures is from an old barn, that now is in ruins.

Two barns that does not "work" no moore. But beautiful anyhow.

Then we have a field of cereal, to become grain later on, not ready to be harvested yet. But soon.

An to finish off, a bot in concrete with floers. Lovely!

3 photos - from winter to spring

Here you have 3 different photos fom the same place, but taken at different times this year here in Sweden.

The first one is from mars, still with a lot of snow.

The second one is from april with just a little bit less snow and a nice blue sky.

The third one is from yesterday, no snow at all and spring in the air. Yippiie!!!

Missing the sun and pool...

Today it has been snowing the whole day here in Sweden. Hate it! But that is what you get this time a year here in the north.

So I must say I miss the sun in India, and the pool you can see here in the pic. From Hotel Heritage Club in south Goa.

As a reminder, it looks like this, here in Sweden now...

Santa is still in Goa

Here is what I found during one walk in south of Goa in India, a Santa. In January he is still around.

He looks happy, but he is in a very sunny spot. Not at all like the North Pole...

Christmas is coming

For us here in Sweden it's just one day left for Christmas. Tomorrow, the 24:th of December we celebrate all day long.

This year I did not get a Christmas tree, but I took some branches from an apple tree and put up some lights and decorations in it.

Then I have to show you this pic of a bleak winter sun behind a tree and a lot of snow. Ans wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!

Evening sun

Just a few days ago I got this beautiful sight of the afternoon sun, just before it got dark.

It is now much cooler outside, almost snow in the air, and not this sunny at all. It's just a nice memory - from Sweden.

Getting a tan

As soon you arrive in the hotel and the sun shines you take a sun ben and try to get a nice tan. Or just reading a book in the shades, whatever you prefer.

Remembering Malta

It was some months ago now that I was travelling to Malta. But I just wanted to remember the place and the sun, beach and sea now when it starts to get more of autumn-like here in Sweden.

Yesterday in Sweden

As I told you we celebrated Midsummer yesterday, and this is what it looked like at my home.

We had amazing weather and I ate out in the sun in the afternoon. Today we are resting...

Maltas blue sea

The waters around Malta is really amazing, so beautifully green-blue, and very clear. So I did not stay in the pool all the time.

But the beach was really small and it was a lot of people that wanted to take a swim or lay on the sandy beach.

Been on holiday...

Here is where I have been the last week, in Malta. And by the pool at Seabank Hotel & Spa, an All Inclusive resort in Mellieha with amazing food.

It has been 30 degrees and sunny - every day. So that's why I been here at the pool most of the 7 days I was in the country.

Seeking the sun

This painting, in watercolours by my mother Gunvor, it is so much me and my life, always seeking the sun...the light.

You can see how much these persons want to go into the sun itself, to the light there in the background.
I have the painting on a wall here at my home, so I can watch it all the time.

Grass is good

Yes, fresh grass is very good - if you are a horse - then it is fantastic, after eating the dry stuff the whole winter.

You can se one beautiful horse here, in the sun, late one evening here in Sweden. Finally spring!

Out at last

Finally the horses can eat outside, it has been snowing again but the sun was strong a almost all of it melted away during the day.

Even my cat Kisse was happy to be outside with me, but he did not like to be close to the horse.

I miss summer...

I really miss summer, especially just now when it's SNOWING outside! Hate that when it is spring!

But anyway, I will remind myself of these wounderful summer days here in Sweden.

Dancing on the beach

This is what I dream about now, dancing on the beach in the evening, wathing the sun go down. Oh I miss my Asia som much, this photo is taken in Sri Lanka.

Nearly empty beaches

Where I stayed in The Gambia, Hotel Sheraton, the beach outside the hotel looked like this, almost empty. That is how I like it.

The sea is the big Atlantic Ocean. Rather big waves, but it was warm, not for me thou, I prefer the pool when it comes to swimming.

Some times during the day you could find people selling fruits on the beach, like these two women in the picture - carrying the products on their heads.
