I really love summer, the sun, the warm weather and all the green grass, the flowers and so on. But I must say thay I am really fond of the autumn too.
Just look at these lovely Maple leafs close to my home here in Sweden in all the colors, red, orange and green.
I live in Sweden and write for a living, as a journalist and writer. In this blog I talk about my mother Gunvor's work as an artist, my travel around the world and a lot more.

Art in fabric
I want to bring you all an old "painting" made of fabric, pieces of old clothes, towels and tablecloths, as usual made by my late mother Gunvor.
It is the view my mother had from the window of her house an autumn day some years ago. You can see they are collecting leaves with the tractor.

More bowl's
Here is two more of the wounderful bowl's made like leafs, and made in ceramic.
The first one here is made to look like oak leaf's, this is my favourite.
And then we have this two bowl's, one isreally smal and almost flat. The other one more traditional.
And as usual, all of them made by my late mother Gunvor.

Baobab tree
When I was in Africa I also discovered a tree called Baobab tree, it is the national tree af Madagascar and is very common in Africa.
It is known as the tree of life. And it is providing with food, shelter and clothing. The leaves is used as medicines.
The fruit of the tree is called monkey fruit and look like a dead rat, hanging in the tree - but it provides vitamin c and is eaten.
For most of the year the tree is leafless and it looks lite its is turned upside down. These pictures was taken at my hotel, Sheraton in The Gambia.
