A reminder of peace

After the horrible terror attacs in Belgium today, I must post this, a reminder of my late mother Gunvor that did this face of Jesus, carved in wood.

Please, please, please let the world become a nicer place, with peace and love instead of terror!!!
Peace to all of you out there in the world!

More Easter greetings

It is Easter and with this photos of my mother Gunvors art, I will wish you again a:
REALLY HAPPY EASTER!!

This is a statue made of driftwood of Jesus on the cross, perfect for today.

And a close up of the art piece made by my late mother Gunvor.

Cross in stone

Here you have two crosses made of stone, cut bu mother Gunvor.

First one here is with Jesus on the cross, carved out in the stone.

And here is another one, polished and smooth, although it is hard as stone...

Praying

My mother Gunvor did -as I told you before - some religious work during her active years. Now she is gone but I always will remember her - like this - thru her work.

This is a nun praying, a really wounderful piece, carved in wood that she found here in the countryside where she used to live.

And this is another carved piece of wood, I see it like the face of Christ. This one is not completed, it had to be refined, but I like it as it is really.

More religious art from Gunvor

This close to christmas I feel like showing you som more things from my mother Gunvor's collection - some of her artworks - here you have of Jesus Christ in different forms.

This one is my favorite - made of wood and then partially painted - a crucifix; Jesus on the cross.

Here is a close up on the face.

This a face of Jesus carved from a solid piece of wood.

Her you have more of my mom's art:
