A dessert...

Last week I was in Copenhagen, Denmark, with my colleges from work, to work. But we had a really nice time too, we ate at the trendy Ködbyens Fiskebar.

We ate mussles, fish and then this dessert with chocolate ice cream and much more. Looks lie a piece of art to me.

Dinner at Cape Sienna

These are photos from last August, when I wisited Thailand for the fifth time, and Hotel Cape Sienna in Kamala Beach in the island of Phuket. For the second time.

On the first photo you see all the different startes, entrés and snacks that where includes in the buffé.

Here you can see the chef grilling the stuff you want "a la minute", just by the poolside. Meat, poultry or seafood. Your choice.

And here is the desserts. Much more than in the pic, just a few - like choccolate mousse, créme brulee and pannacotta with fresh strawberries.

Love, love the Indian food, curries and all the rest. At my hotel Heritage Village in Goa we had a delicious buffet with a lot of veggie dishes.

Here is one - an indian "dals" from the buffet. Vegetarian and very, very spicy and good.

And here is my plate another day, with a lot of Indian goodies.

Love tempura

When in Thailand I always try different restaurants, not always the Thai ones. Love Japanese food, so I went to one Japanese restaurant in the big shopping centre in Phuket - Jungceylon.

I tried tempura, among other things. And it was really good, as the rest of their food.

Eating on the beach

One thing I always do when in Thailand is eating on the beach. The restaurants there are anything but elegant, but the food they serve, normally, is exellent. And at a good price.

Then you get the beautiful view for free, looking out at the sea and put your feet in the hot sand.

Here we are sitting on Kamala beach in Phuket. Eating some Pad Thai. You can see the meny here in the photo above.

You also get a pic of me sitting there, and enyoying life and my lunch at Kamala beach.

Seafood festival at Jungceylon

I have written about it before, the big shopping centre of Jungceylon in Patong on Phuket. Complte with a ship - Jung Ceylon -  and all, as you can see in the picture here.

Here you really can find everyting, part from the more turisty stuff placed downstairs among a lot of thai massage parlours, you find hipp clothes, bags and shoes, nice things for your home and a lot more.

But you can also eat so many different things, at a lot of restaurants. When I was here they had a seafood festival and it was amazing!

Fast food Thai style

This is what you can call fast food Thay style, for a quick bite on the go and for almost no money at all you can get a delicious meal on the street in Thailand.

These two are from Kamala Beach in Phuket. The first one is outside the big scholl along the beach, and probably made fast food mostly for the pupils and their parents.

The other one is also from Kamala, but from the main road and mostly for the people that works around there. They also grill a la minute, as you can see.

Toast with Chanterelles

Yesterday I ate this toast for dinner, and lunch... Really gooood. I love Chanterelles, nice little yellow mushrooms picked here in Sweden. Not by me thou.

Bought them by a lady that knows the forrests better than me. I am so afraid to get lost. But we are all free to pick mushrooms and berries in the woods here. The toast is made of just the Chanterelles and butter, salt and pepper with just a spoon om cream. Served with a salad of rocket, rucola.

Eat in Stockholm

Eat in Stockholm - it's a new restaurant ine the Swedish capital, it is inside the shopping Mall "Mood", it is a Asian style place with both cheaper lunches and more expensive dinners.

Then you have this Tapas bar and restaurant Boqueria in the same place, you could eat just a bite here, and drink some good Cava with it. This place is still in the mall "Mood".

I pass Mood every day on my way to - and - from work, and took some photos for you.

And now lunch

Are you hungry? Here is my lucnh, american pancakes my way. Sometimes it's sooo good to eat pancakes, not so unhealthy at all. It all depends what you eat how you combine it.

I ate them with fresh strawberries that I mushed with a little vanilla sugar, then I put some blueberries on top, easy and very good.

More hotel pic's from Malta

I can't not say how much I enjoyed my trip to Malta. It was my first and I really want to go back again. It was hot and sunny, the sea was lovely and the hotel was perfect, on the right in the pic.

Stayed at Seabank hotel, an all inclusive deal and it was a lot to eat, and really good stuff too. The design in the whole hotel was fresh and modern.

This is a photo of the restaurant where we ate, nice and airy. And good food.

Here in another blog entry from Seabank hotel:

Östermalmshallen is an old inside market for buying food, and some nice restaurants. A bit expensive, but it's close to work and the food is great.

When in Thailand I often eat on the beach, it is almost always very good, a nice view and do not cost a fortune. The spicy food does well with a cold beer too, maybe a Singha.

In the back ground here you can see another nice thing you alwas find on Thai beaches, som really good Thai massage.

More fishes...

Some days ago I gave you some photos of a fishmarket in Borneo, Kota Kinabalu. Here is some more photos from the same place.

But this time, it is dried fish, that they use a lot in Malaysian cooking. And I can safely say I do not like to eat that at all. Small ones above.

Here is some of the bigger ones.

Here is the market again, fish and sea food everywhere.

Read an old entry about fish in Borneo here:

New flavors

One really good thing about traveling abroad is taste new flavors, new food that you have not tested yet at home.
Sometimes it is going to be amazingly good, other times not so much.

The women here in the picture is from a small foodmarket outside Kota Kinabalu in Borneo, Malaysia. She sold small pies and homebaked bread.

Here is a pic from abowe, where the food market sold there home made stuff, you can see the rain forest in the background.

The other photo is from one of my hotel's in Borneo, Malaysia. Is just the spice section - where you could add some hot spices or sauce to your plate.
