Hands on cross

My late mother Gunvor made some amazing art in her life, this one is one of them.

Love this sculpture with the hands - united on the cross. Helping, caring and loving hands. Is is just what we all need in these days!!

Father's Day today

Today, in Sweden, it's Father's Day. My dad Bertil has passed away some years ago, but I have him still in my memories.

To celebrate him I do that with this artwork by my mother Gunvor. She is no longer with us either, but the art she made is living on, like this magic cross.

Helping hands

Have to take this photo and blog about it a day like this, tomorrow Sunday july 22,  2012 it is a year since the massacre in Oslo and Utøya. And then I have to read about a mad man killing people in a movie threatre in USA.

This is a piece of art from my mother Gunvor, two hands on a cross, helping hands. We need each other, always.

Another cross

Today it is Good Friday, and it is a good day to post another cross. This is not made by my mother thou, but I have it in my bedroom.

It is made of wood and it is really wounderful.

Cross in copper

More art from my mother, this another cross. A little torn and worn here and there, but still very nice to look at.

She loved to experiment with different materials, this ones is made in copper.

And this cross is from the other side.

Cross x 4

Just four cross made in ceramic, by my mother Gunvor. White and small. But beautiful.

Sometimes the smallest and simple thins are the beat.

Cross in stone

Here you have two crosses made of stone, cut bu mother Gunvor.

First one here is with Jesus on the cross, carved out in the stone.

And here is another one, polished and smooth, although it is hard as stone...
