Making angels in the sand

Just love this photo. I live in a country with a lot of snow in winter time. So I have made snow angels a lot of times, in Thailand, Phuket you do not see a lot of snow.

So then you have to make sand angels. Like this two children in Kamala beach.

Beach photos

Love to walk along the beach, wherever I am. Hopefully the beach is like this, not crowded with a lot of people.

This time is some photos from Thailand again, from lovely Kamala Beach in Phuket.

You can clearly see the tide, a lot of sand to walk in this day. And very relaxing.

Walking at the beach

I really like walking in Kamala, not much people and a really relaxing just listening to the waves.

Here on my way to the beach. It is not much water at this hour, it's tide.

Here you can se some fishing boats, waiting to go out later when the water comes back.

On the way to the beach you also can see these local drink- and food stalls.

Walk to the beach

This was the view that I say on my way to the beach from my hotel Heritage Village club in Goa.

I was not a long walk and it was nice and shady too. But these where some friendly dogs...

Here is the one and only place on the beach - a shack that served cold drinks, good food and rented out sunbeds for the day.

Beach hut

More from my recent trip to Goa in India, here is a photo from the beach in the south Goa, like it when You are almost alone in the sand.

Just this one beach hut, occupied by a man with a big tan, and a bigger beach hut  - one that served food and cold beers.

Green Goa

It's not only nice beaches an warm sea in Goa, there is also a lot of lovely nature to explore. Just outside my hotel you could walk in this green forrest, or djungle.

And then another photo of the beach, in another direction - to the south. Not so many people here.

Leaving footprints in the sand. Walking in the sun - in India.

Back from India

Just came back from a very relaxing holiday in India. I have spent a week in south Goa. Sunny, hot and interesting.

Here is a pic of the beach just close to my hotel. A lot of sand, hot sea water and almost empty. But in the end of the beach was a terribly ugly factory or industrial plant, you can hardly see it in the photo.

So I give you another pic from India, a beautiful sunset. With palm trees and a red big sun going down in the sea.

African shopping and sunny beaches

Some more african shopping. Found out that you could buy a lot of stuff in carved wood, but also these baskets made of grass.

They come in every color but the shapes where almost always the same.

And here is another photo from Africa, this is from a sunny beach in The Gambia. The women here where also selling some stuff that they carried on their heads.

Eating on the beach

One thing I always do when in Thailand is eating on the beach. The restaurants there are anything but elegant, but the food they serve, normally, is exellent. And at a good price.

Then you get the beautiful view for free, looking out at the sea and put your feet in the hot sand.

Here we are sitting on Kamala beach in Phuket. Eating some Pad Thai. You can see the meny here in the photo above.

You also get a pic of me sitting there, and enyoying life and my lunch at Kamala beach.

Seedy bars and unspoilt beaches

As you may have noticed here on my blog, I really love Thailand and the very touristy place of Phuket, a big island in the south of the country.

But Phuket has so many things to offer. If you go to the biggest turist town in Phuket, Patong. You can find exclusive restaurants, big modern shopping centres and then of course the seedy bars. Like the one on the picture.

But you also have really unspoilt beaches, wuth really no one there. This one is close to the popular Kamala. Not got for a swim maybe, but it is beautiful no less, and it is low tide in the pic.

On the beach

This is another photo of Kamala beach in Phuket Thailand, when I am eating a nice. cheap lunch with my feet rooted in the sand. That's the way to go!

You can clearly see the difference from ebb and flow on Kamala beach. The boats are one the sand here, later they will float on water.

Kamala beach

Of course you have to go down to the beach when you are in Thailand, here I am on Kamala beach.

At off season it is not really crowded, found a few persons there, like these two Thai women.

Remembering Malta

It was some months ago now that I was travelling to Malta. But I just wanted to remember the place and the sun, beach and sea now when it starts to get more of autumn-like here in Sweden.

Here you can see the bay of Mellieha and hotel Seabank in the left corner.

By the sea

One street in Mellieha in Malta, just by the sea. It is not all all places that gives you "turisty feeling", here one or two flats where rent to turists, not more. The rest of it was occipied with locals.

But I did stay in a hotel, as I have written before about it, The Seabank hotel & Spa. Nice place.

Here you have a view from my room over the pool area. Not quite finished yet, when I was there in the beginning of June 2012.

More hotel pic's from Malta

I can't not say how much I enjoyed my trip to Malta. It was my first and I really want to go back again. It was hot and sunny, the sea was lovely and the hotel was perfect, on the right in the pic.

Stayed at Seabank hotel, an all inclusive deal and it was a lot to eat, and really good stuff too. The design in the whole hotel was fresh and modern.

This is a photo of the restaurant where we ate, nice and airy. And good food.

Here in another blog entry from Seabank hotel:

Maltas blue sea

The waters around Malta is really amazing, so beautifully green-blue, and very clear. So I did not stay in the pool all the time.

But the beach was really small and it was a lot of people that wanted to take a swim or lay on the sandy beach.

This photo is taken after six a clock at the evening, beach still busy.

The streets of Pizzo

Here is some photos from Italy, from the small southern town of Pizzo. It is in Calabria, almost on the toe of the Italian Boot.

During the summer the city blooms, and a lot of turist come to the town, a lot of them try out the famous ice cram, the Tartufo of Pizzo, as you can see an this picture below.

And when it is hot you can go down to the beach below and cool off a bit. Really nice.

Thai food - on a beach

When in Thailand I often eat on the beach, it is almost always very good, a nice view and do not cost a fortune. The spicy food does well with a cold beer too, maybe a Singha.

In the back ground here you can see another nice thing you alwas find on Thai beaches, som really good Thai massage.

These photos come from Khao Lak some years ago.

And here is another one, a little later. When night falls in the paradise, also from Sri Lanka.

The photo is taken at The Blue Water Hotel in Wadduwa.

My hotel in The Gambia

This is where I stayed in The Gambia, Hotel Sheraton in Serrekunda, just at the beach.  Her I took the photo from the beach.

And here I took it from the hotel, at the beach. At high tide.

It is inspired by local traditions and has a lot of african art and crafts as a decor, and the rooms are all placed in smaller houses on one or three floors.

And here is a part of the pool at sunset.

And here is my rooom.

Another photo of the pool.
