Asian breakfast

Having a nice breakast is always a pleasure in Asia, and this time in Bali was no exception.

Fresh fruit, home made cakes a glass of juice and hot coffee with milk.

I can also give you a photo of Balinese fastfood, from a stall outside a market.

And a pic from one of the lovely hotels I stayed in, Puri Bagus Lovina, in Lovina, Bali.

Waterlife at Indigo Pearl

There is a lot of water around at Indigo Pearl resort in Phuket Thailand. Not only pools, also small lakes.

And there is a lovely park around the buildings - all so green almost like a jungle.

Here is another pond, just outside my hotel room. Magical and mystic.

The hotel I stayed in in Thailand, in Phuet, Indigo Pearl had many different pools, one was this infinity pool just for adults.

Not always sunny, but always very varm. You could say HOT.

But then again, you also had the beautiful beach in the north west of Puket,  Nai Yang beach, really close to the airport.

And back to work again

Today it will be my first day at work after a lovely holiday in Thailand, yes I came back, again. This time I was in Phuket and in Bangkok.

A really lovely place to be, here you have one of the pools. Really important in the heat.

Just can not get enough of this hotel, this was the second time around, and it will be more. Here is one photo of the stylish lobby.

All the rooms - and the lobby - has a wounderful view over Kamala bay and the sandy beach.

At hotel Cape Sienna

This was the second time at posh hotel Cape Sienna in Kamala Beach in Phuket, Thailand. And it will not be the last.

It is not only a very stylish and beautiful hotel, it's also a very charming and relaxing place.

These two photos is from the pool, one at a sunna day another one at a more gray and rainy day. But it does not really matter. Love to stay there anyhow.

Been on holiday...

Here is where I have been the last week, in Malta. And by the pool at Seabank Hotel & Spa, an All Inclusive resort in Mellieha with amazing food.

It has been 30 degrees and sunny - every day. So that's why I been here at the pool most of the 7 days I was in the country.

Swim up bar

I always wanted to try a swim up bar, the feeling that you could sit in the water and drinking something really cool in the hot sun.

Like this beautiful hotel i Phuket Thailand with a lovely pool. And yes, it is really cool to swim up ti a bar, maybe not so fun to swim back, if you had to many drinks...

Today the hotel is called Sawasdee Village, at Kata Beach.

Showtime in Africa

At my hotel, Sheraton in The Gambia, they also hade some form of entertainment every night. Here you can se a band playing, with the typical african drums.

Then you have this photo where you can se more of the guy on stilts, there where two of them, dancing and singing. Here one is on the left.

My hotel in The Gambia

This is where I stayed in The Gambia, Hotel Sheraton in Serrekunda, just at the beach.  Her I took the photo from the beach.

And here I took it from the hotel, at the beach. At high tide.

It is inspired by local traditions and has a lot of african art and crafts as a decor, and the rooms are all placed in smaller houses on one or three floors.

Luxury vacation in Phuket

Why not do a a little extra during the holidays? One time I had the opportunity to stay in a private luxury villa with your own pool and garden instead of living with a bunch of other people in a hotel, even though they have five stars.

There are now several sites that offer villas of various sizes and classes. In one of these you can manage yourself, cook your own meals and not have to spend a day with other guests. The downside may be that you might get tired at looking after yourself after a while and instead wish to be waited on and taken care of. But do not worry, I've found the perfect alternative.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was a really beautiful place. When it rained I took a swim without my bikini... Something to remember.

You can not just stay in your own luxurious villa, but also enjoy the hotel's full benefits. Here, you do not clean or cook breakfast. You may instead run over to the house and spend some time there, inside or out in your garden with the pool. Now, if you do not want to pick the s of all the goodies that are served at the hotel's breakfast buffet.

A nice slice of Turkey

Here is some photos from a trip I made some years ago, to Side in Turkey. This i pic from the beach, the hotel I stayed in had it's own sandy beach with full service.

Here is the beach restaurant at my hotel, good food every day without leaving the beach. Or the pool area. The hotel was very nice, Sentidio Perissia Hotel in Side.

I loved the grilled meat or fish, made in front of your eyes , á la minute. And since I went all inclusive I never had to pay for anything. Very nice.

And here is Side amphitheatre. A must to see when in Side. 

The roman amphitheatre in Side centrum is now a museum.

And here you have the remains of The Temple of Apollo.

One man outside the mosque of Side, beautiful tiles - not only there but everywhere in the older houses of the city. Today most of the houses in the city is now made to fit the tourists, but they are still beautiful.

In almost every shop you can find spices, sweets and the traditional mint tea and apple tea.

And of course I stayed here, at the poolside wich was enormous and very well kept. It still was a little cold in the sea - I was there in april - but the pools was really nice.

Pizzo in Calabria - Italy

It has been six years now, but this august I went for a really relaxing a holiday in Italy. This time I did a week in southern Italy, in Calabria. It's where the "boot" kicking Sicily.

It was my first trip here, and almonst the only place so far that I had not visited in Italy. And this time it was pure holiday, with just beach, sun and plenty of good food. And a lot of books.
Stayed at Rocca Nettuno Garden resort. A big all inclusice resort with their own beach and home made ice cream.

I was mostly at the poolside or at the sea, but I also took the effort - it was burning hot you know - to go away from the resort to the city of Pizzo. A tiny town on a cliff overlooking the sea. 

It is not big, just about 10000 people lives here. As you can see the city of Pizzo also have  a tiny beach, with clear green-blue water. This time I did not have time to take a bath, it will be for next time. But it looked lovely in the summer heat.

The city is famous for their Tartufi, un ice cream truffel with plenty of chocolate. And of course I tried one! Soooo good. All the bars in Pizzo say they have the best one...

Back home again

Just arrived home from a holiday in Cyprus, first time in the country. Nice place, sunny - most of the time - and lovely beaches and clear blue water in the see.
Not so clean water in the pool but a very nice hotel anyhow. Stayed in Sandy Beach Hotel just outside Larnaca. Complete with a cat that also like the comfy sunbeds.

Larnaca was a small but nice city just at the beach. A lot of exclusive shops, expensive but we are in Europe with the euro... Some interesting churches, moscs and a very old fort.
