Maltas blue sea

The waters around Malta is really amazing, so beautifully green-blue, and very clear. So I did not stay in the pool all the time.

But the beach was really small and it was a lot of people that wanted to take a swim or lay on the sandy beach.

This photo is taken after six a clock at the evening, beach still busy.

Been on holiday...

Here is where I have been the last week, in Malta. And by the pool at Seabank Hotel & Spa, an All Inclusive resort in Mellieha with amazing food.

It has been 30 degrees and sunny - every day. So that's why I been here at the pool most of the 7 days I was in the country.

Poppies in red

This is a plant I think you call Papaver, or more common Poppies. We call them Vallmo here in Sweden. But they are regal and beautiful in every language.

This red plants are rather old and grow in my garden, as they have since I was a kid.

And here is another Peony in pink, also from my garden.

Silver - by my mother

My mother did really work with all kinds of material, mostly ceramic as you have seen before, but alos metal, stone and of course the more traditional paintings, both in water colors and oil.

This is some works by Gunvor in silver, a bowl a bracelet and a ring, the stone she picked herself here in the dirt, then polished it and made art of it.

My cat again

Here he is again, my cat Kisse, he is always around. And wanted to share this photo of him.

He is not that fond of cuddling, but he likes when I stroke him behind the ear or on the head. But just for a very short time.

Strawberry pie

Love strawberries, and therfore I also love strawberry pies of different kinds. This is one I just made here at my home, really easy to make.

Just butter up a ovenproof baking dish, then put the strawberries in the dish, forming a little mountain but also at the sides, they melt down a bit.
Then mix together sugar and butter, add flour and a cup of muesli and put that mixture on top. Place the dish in the owen for 20-25 minutes or more, then its ready to eat. Serve hot, with icecream.

Shapes of nature

My mother really loved and was inspired by nature, in all the diffrent formes.  Like these seed pods of different kinds. She always kept the real ones in vases, all year round.

But of course she made these two objects - seed pods - in ceramic, like beautiful sculpures.
